introduce today’s program -These are hard times, we must be here for each other  -Let’s all practice self-care in order to better our mindsets, be better members of our communities, and be kinder to ourselves


0:05-0:08

reflect on your week -Have everyone reflect on their week and give these questions as prompts:  + How did they sleep, was that too much or too little? How much time did they spend on schoolwork, was that too much or too little?  + How much time did they dedicate to talking to their friends, was that too much or too little?  + How did they take themselves this week?  + How did taking care of yourself make you feel? 0:08-0:18

happies and crappies + share any notable reflections → icebreaker -The leader of the group should begin happies and crappies to get the ball rolling, if possible, demonstrate vulnerability, that’s where healing comes from!

introduce next program

-Everyone shares out to the group how it felt to aknowledge the things that are hurting them+ how it felt to destroy them Take time to really think about the roots of our problems, but also feel free to write down the smaller stresses of life. Once everyone has finished writing these things down, together everyone will destroy these papers.

introduce next program -Explain that the next program will focus on the healing aspect of self-care. Practice 4-8-7 breathing and lead the group through a short guided meditation. 0:37-0:45

introduce next program -After we have reflected, released, and renourished our minds, it’s good to build ourselves up to establish a new base! Give each girl a minute to think about one attribute that they love about themselves. Encourage everyone to share, though make it clear that not everyone has to. Have everyone write their thing down.
